New Haven is worldwide Mecca for higher education and the arts, the home of Yale University, Southern Connecticut State University , Albertus Magnus College and The University of New Haven . You can learn more about these institutions by clicking directly to their home pages from here.
New Haven is home to two excellent hospitals, Yale-New Haven Hospital and Saint Raphael's Hospital .
New Haven is the home of the Long Wharf Theater, a premier small theater that hosts world-renowned talent in a small venue, often premiering new Broadway works in a test market before they play New York City. New Haven is also home to the Shubert Theater, another, larger venue that hosts national touring companies. If you prefer classical music, the New Haven Symphony Orchestra performs at Woosley Hall. The Palace Theater, across the street from Shubert also offers national performers.
